Hive Brands UX/UI & Digital Design

Hive Brands is an online marketplace and subscription service for sustainable, ethically sourced products. At Hive, I led the design of digital marketing assets across email, social, and promotional campaigns—helping tell the brand’s story while driving customer engagement and retention. I also contributed to the UX/UI design of key site features, including a revamp of their subscription offerings. This work focused on improving the user journey, simplifying complex flows, and enhancing the overall shopping experience for conscious consumers.

HIVE FIVE REINTRODUCTION
UI/UX DESIGN & MARKETING

For Hive Brands’ Hive Five certification system (a sustainability and ethics rating applied to every product) I helped reintroduce the program with a full suite of updated digital assets across email, web, and social. I designed custom visual elements and iconography that clearly communicated how each brand aligned with Hive’s environmental and social impact criteria.

In addition to visual design, I contributed to the revamp of the UI/UX flow for how Hive Five ratings are displayed within individual product pages. This included designing an intuitive, mobile-friendly experience that helped users easily understand what the ratings mean and how they influence product selection—bringing more clarity, trust, and engagement to Hive’s mission-driven shopping platform.

AUTOSHIP-MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION UX/UI DESIGN & FLOW

Hive Brands is an online marketplace and subscription service dedicated to sustainable, ethically sourced products. I collaborated with their team to design the flow of their Autoship/Membership program, which replaced their previous subscription model. My role involved wireframing, mapping out user flows, and designing the UX/UI to enhance the user experience.​



Key features of the redesigned Autoship program include:​

Flexible Shipment Management: Users can easily skip items, adjust delivery dates, or expedite shipments, providing greater control over their orders.

Enhanced Product Interaction: The design allows customers to subscribe to products directly from product pages or through quick-add options on collection pages, streamlining the shopping experience. ​

Account Overview: A comprehensive dashboard displays order dates, shipping and billing information, and subscription details, enabling users to manage their accounts effortlessly. ​

SMS Notifications: Users can opt-in for SMS reminders and manage their orders via text, adding convenience to the subscription process.

Through this redesign, we aimed to create a more intuitive and user-friendly subscription experience that aligns with Hive's mission of making sustainable shopping accessible and convenient.​
